Job Summary
Teach and facilitate learning of High School Science including Chemistry classes utilizing a variety of teaching methods including an interactive smart board. Maintain academic progress, classroom discipline and accurate records.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare effective lessons, instruct, and motivate students utilizing a variety of teaching methods including an interactive smart board.
- Assign lessons and correct classwork and homework in a timely manner.
- Maintain student grades and student-parent communication via the school’s online grading and email system.
- Maintain discipline in the classroom and have a classroom that is conducive to learning.
- Regularly communicate with students and parents to discuss student progress – positive and negative.
- Participate in faculty meetings before school and perform special duties, during and after school hours as assigned (help class, rotating morning and afternoon student drop-off and pick-up duty, attend Spring open houses).
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year accredited college or university.
Must possess a strong Christian faith and attend church regularly.
