EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Supervises and controls the issuance and delivery of materials in order to maximize service to the users and provide a property audit trail for job costing and stock replenishment.
- Coordinates, mobilizes and acquires materials, tools and equipment for emergency situations to protect, secure and repair Miami-Dade County Public Schools facilities and equipment.
- Investigates delivery discrepancies with vendors and follows-up with the Office of Procurement Management Services and Accounts Payable staff to ensure prompt processing to facilitate the payment process and ensure stock availability.
- Reconciles inventory cycle counts with records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinates the status of purchase orders, receipts of stock, and discrepancy reports with the Procurement Department.
- Ensures that on-line receipt and receiving documents are provided to Accounts Payable in a timely manner to insure prompt and correct payment of invoices.
- Performs duties as necessary to assist all warehouse facilities in the operation of the automated inventory control functions. Assists in the development of plans and procedures to utilize the computerized inventory system in the most cost effective and efficient mode.
- Prepares, processes and reviews numerous manuals and computer-generated reports. Prepares large volumes of procurement documents.
- Supervises the maintenance of a Quality Assurance Program to ensure accuracy and proper audit trails. Maintains proper records to maximize accountability by conforming to Federal, State, Local and M-DCPS rules and regulations, thereby maintaining integrity of the records for proper auditing.
- Minimizes inventory investment by pursuing periodic review policy of replenishing order points, lead-time, safety inventory and client demand.
- Expedites suppliers for existing stock-out and overdue purchase order items to maximize both zone mechanic and tradespersons customer satisfaction; updates and tracks inventory item records for Procurement.
- Updates all manuals, processes, and procedures to reflect the most recent operating standards and to report key performance indicators and metrics for the department.
- Performs other duties related to general administrative responsibilities of the position.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field; or High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years of documented progressive experience in warehousing, stockroom, or distribution activities at the supervisory level.
