What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Craft Technician (Fire Rescue) position at Miami-Dade County?
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Three years of experience as an inboard diesel technician in diagnosing engines, repairing and maintaining diesel engines to include electrical repairs, rigging, and electronic diagnosis. Must possess or obtain a CDL/Class A license within six (6) months of employment. PREFERENCE: Applicants with factory certifications from Mercury, Yamaha are highly preferred.

The Marine Craft Technician (MCT) will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and overall serviceability of all vessels, medium & heavy-duty trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, All Terrain Vehicles (ATV), Personal Watercraft (PWC), Airboats, small equipment and other miscellaneous items owned by the Marine Services Bureau and/or as assigned by the Marine Services Chief.
