Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Photography, Media Studies, Communications, Broadcast Journalism, or related field. Two years of experience in video production to include photo editing software and equipment with knowledge of news principles. Must have a valid driver s license. Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

This position will be responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of the production of video programs for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department (MDFR). This position entails the use of photography, videography, editing, producing, and sound engineering. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for applying advanced video production knowledge and techniques to produce high-quality video programming for internal and external broadcasting. The incumbent will collaborate closely with MDFR personnel and partner agencies to produce various projects for the department. The incumbent in this position will be required to assist with coordinating and setting up video and audio capture at department events and ceremonies.
Additional responsibilities include day-to-day operations of all editing systems and network management; operating and maintaining videography, photography, and photo editing equipment; collaborating with team members in the Media & Public Relations Bureau, other MDFR personnel, and stakeholders to develop concepts and storyboards for video projects; managing and organizing video assets to ensure their accessibility for future use; and developing innovative and engaging content for various purposes to include promotional materials, social media, and internal communications from concept to execution.
This position will provide the incumbent with benefits and will require them to work a 40-hour work week and at times on nights and weekends in the event of major incidents, emergencies, breaking news, or other department-related needs. The incumbent will be required to perform additional related duties as needed.
