What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces position at Miami-Dade County?
Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces (PROS) is offering current and/or recent students studying landscape architecture, urban planning, and related fields to apply for our summer internship 2024. Join the Planning & Research team to gain experience on projects and activities including conducting analyses of existing conditions, preparing of public engagement research for outreach initiatives and events, conducting background due diligence for community and regional-scale sites related to capital projects, and participating on various design and master planning tasks. All interns will be supervised and join a dynamic and collaborative team comprised of planners, landscape architects and subject experts in park system Master Plan implementation, property management and grants within the Planning, Design, and Construction Excellence Division.
This internship is paid with a 40 hours/week schedule and the opportunity to work in-person at our downtown Miami offices and virtually.
