Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. A current state of Florida Paramedic license is required. Must be at least 18 years of age. One year experience as a Paramedic delivering patient care, operating a transportation vehicle, providing public assistance, or customer service or engagement is required. Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver's License.
Recruitment Notes
This position will be responsible for the medical care and safe transportation of Basic Life Support (BLS) patients to clinics, hospitals, or other medical facilities for further treatment. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for patient care during transport, the monitoring of patient condition, completing and submitting patient care reports as required by Florida Administrative Code, communicating with medical facilities as needed for transport and transfer of care, driving transport vehicles safely in accordance with all laws and department policies, and ensuring the transport vehicle is properly maintained and equipped throughout the shift.
