What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Body Technician (Department of Transportation and Public Works) position at Miami-Dade Seaport Department?
High school diploma or GED. Two years of experience in collision repair, auto body repair, or a related field are required. Must have a valid Class E Driver's License. OR Candidates may substitute the required experience with having graduated from an accredited vocational school program, in Collision Repair, Auto Body Repair, Truck Collision Repair, or a related field. Candidates must have a valid Class E Driver's License.
A performance test will be given at the time of the interview. Candidates selected for employment will be placed in training status and must successfully complete the Bus Body Technician Training Program.
The DTPW classification of Bus Body Technician performs safety-sensitive functions and is subject to the provisions of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Drug and Alcohol Regulations. Proof of education, work experience and Class E Driver's License, along with any relevant diploma, ASE certificates, and technical training must be presented at the time interview and will be verified.
