What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Technician (People & Internal Operations Department) position at Miami-Dade Seaport Department?
High school diploma or GED. Two years of experience in maintenance, overhaul, and repair of heavy automotive equipment or diesel powered construction equipment are required. Must possess a CDL / Class A or obtain a CDL / Class A prior to the completion of the one-year probationary period. Must be able to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must possess a Refrigerant Certification from an EPA-approved technician program in accordance with EPA, Section 609 of the Clean Air Act OR obtain the certification within 6 months of employment.
