About The Moore
The Moore is a landmark destination in the Miami Design District, comprised of a private members club, hotel and a collection of restaurants, retail, exhibition, event and office space. Housed in the Districts circa-1922 Moore building, the reimagined, nearly 90,000-square-foot space integrates two, four-story structures located at the intersection of NE 40th Street and NE 2nd Avenue, and includes Elastika, the site-specific commission created by the late artist and architect Zaha Hadid for the inaugural Design Miami/ exhibition in 2005.

Position Overview
At The Club at The Moore, a Host is an integral part of creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You will be the first point of contact for guests, greeting them with a friendly smile and providing exceptional hospitality from the moment they arrive. Your role is vital in setting the tone for the dining experience and ensuring that our guests feel valued and well-cared for throughout their visit.
A successful Host at The Club at The Moore will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Your warm and engaging personality, combined with your attention to detail, will contribute to creating a positive and memorable first impression for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet guests upon their arrival, offering a friendly smile and a personalized and memorable first impression.
- Manage the seating and reservation system efficiently, ensuring accurate seating arrangements and timely table turnovers.
- Effectively communicate with guests to understand their seating preferences, special requests, and any specific needs.
- Provide accurate wait time estimates and maintain an organized list during peak hours.
- Collaborated closely with the server team to coordinate seating and ensure a smooth flow of guests throughout the restaurant.
- Maintain a clean and organized host area, including tidying up tables, managing coat check, and keeping the entrance welcoming and presentable.
- Monitor the dining room are to ensure all guests are attended to promptly and any potential issues are addressed proactively.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with other hosts and team members to ensure seamless transitions between shifts and effective communication.
- Willingness to come early to shift to attend all Pre-shifts.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Host or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing excellent hospitality.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Basic computer skills to manage reservation systems and communicate effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and move around the restaurant to assist guests.
- At least 18 years old.
