About The Moore
The Moore is a landmark destination in the Miami Design District, comprised of a private members club, hotel and a collection of restaurants, retail, exhibition, event and office space. Housed in the Districts circa-1922 Moore building, the reimagined, nearly 90,000-square-foot space integrates two, four-story structures located at the intersection of NE 40th Street and NE 2nd Avenue, and includes Elastika, the site-specific commission created by the late artist and architect Zaha Hadid for the inaugural Design Miami/ exhibition in 2005.
The Moores core programming extends throughout the buildings four floors: The first floor is anchored by a public, all-day dining concept. The second floor will house The Club at The Moore, a private members-only destination inclusive of a restaurant, multiple bars, lounges and private dining and event spaces. Located on the third floor, The Workplace at The Moore offers leasable private offices, dedicated desks and limited communal workplace access. The Hotel at The Moore is located on the buildings fourth floor and offers 15 hotel suites that are available for member and non-member bookings. Additionally, the fourth floor is home to The Gallery at The Moore, a 4,500-square foot private exhibition and event space that overlooks the buildings iconic Elastika atrium.
The redevelopment of The Moore is led by boutique hospitality firm and operator, WoodHouse. Founded by entrepreneur Brady Wood, WoodHouse creates, owns and operates experiential concepts, ranging from private clubs, restaurants and hotels to live music and entertainment venues.
Position Overview
At The Club at The Moore, the Server Assistant plays a crucial role in providing an organized, clean, and exceptional guest experience. The Server Assistant supports the runners, servers, and management team by efficiently cleaning and resetting tables, ensuring the availability of flatware and plates, and promptly addressing guest needs. Also assisting in restocking necessary items, such as napkins, straws, glassware, and assistance in dishwashing if needed.
A successful server assistant at The Club at The Moore will demonstrate efficiency, attentiveness, and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Complete training to gain comprehensive understanding of our products, service procedures, and house standards.
Prepare all tables before service, ensuring that place settings are meticulously arranged.
Ensure the appropriate table settings and China are used for different meal services throughout the day (breakfast, lunch, or dinner), including arranging mis en place items like salt, pepper, sauces, and sugar bowls.
Stock all stations at the beginning of the shift (plate ware, water and wine glasses, and silverware), and maintain their cleanliness and availability throughout service.
Maintain your designated section, ensuring water is promptly delivered upon guests arrival. Also, assist other sections as necessary.
Clear table of plates and remove silverware and glassware between each course. Subsequently, wipe down and reset tables for new guests.
Polish silverware and ensure proper storage according to established standards.
Complete assigned side work before and after service (refer to side work sheets for details)
Ensure that the bar areas cabinets and shelves are fully stocked before service (glassware, silverware, and plates).
Remove all dirty linens from stations and ensure trash is emptied and the area is clean.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Flexibility in working schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed.
Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and thrive in demanding, fast-paced environments.
Basic verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Capable of seizing, grasping, turning, and holding objects with hands.
Able to work on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours.
Must be able to move quickly between different areas of the restaurant and club.
Able to move, pull, carry, or lift items weighing at least 40 pounds.
Occasionally required to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as needed.
