Established in 1935, the founding members of Miami Firefighters FCU were 28 firefighters who wanted to create a credit union that would “promote thrift among its members, by allowing them to accumulate their savings; and to create for them a source of credit.” From those humble beginnings nearly 90 years ago, Miami Firefighters FCU has grown to serve almost 6,000 firefighting professionals and their family members. In this role, you will provide essential support across various functions, ensuring exceptional service and smooth operations for our members.
As a Universal Banker, you will be key in offering tailored financial solutions to members, handling cash transactions, and facilitating consumer lending. With a focus on excellent member service, you will assist with opening new accounts and managing daily banking needs. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of credit union operations and the ability to adapt to changing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Member Solutions: Engage with members to understand their financial needs, offering personalized solutions and assisting with new accounts, loans, and other services.
- Cash Handling: Process deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments and ensure accurate cash drawer balancing.
- Consumer Lending: Assist members with consumer loan applications, providing guidance and ensuring a smooth lending process.
- Member Service Excellence: Provide outstanding service through proactive communication, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues efficiently.
- Operational Support: Maintain branch operations, ensuring compliance with credit union policies and supporting branch goals.
