Job Title: Clinical Dietitian Assistant (Florida PACE Centers)
Job Summary
Under general direction, provides nutrition care to Florida PACE Center participants in all care settings
Essential Job Functions
- Observes participant’s food intake and reports progress and dietary problems.
- Completes nutritional assessments and re-assessments.
- Obtains participant’s weights, asses for significant changes and provides information regarding any changes.
- Assists with research on food, nutrition and food service topics.
- Selects schedules and/or conducts orientation or in-service education programs.
- Supervises food production and assists with food service planning.
- Assists with food service meal distribution and/or feeding participants during lunch time.
- Attends meetings and in-services as needed
Job Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelors’ Degree from a recognized institution
- One year working with the frail elderly, and two years of clinical experience, preferred
- Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) certification preferred
- Sensitivity and skill in working with elderly impaired applicants/clients and their families.
- Must be patient and clear when communicating with applicants and their families.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Must be organized and demonstrate good judgment.
- Knowledge of Spanish may be required
