What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Sales & Services Intern position at Miami Marlins?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales and Service Intern is responsible for providing support and assistance to the entire Ticket Sales and Service Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Duties include but are not limited to: servicing all ticket and group accounts, creating sales proposals, fulfillment, and the assistance in all aspects of renewals and new sales.
- Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting during games, season member events, group events, maintaining excellent business relations with group leaders, season member and premium account holders, assisting with mailings to current and future ticket/group/premium account holders, answering incoming calls and questions about upcoming games, maintaining records of our current clients, and generating reports of our current and future clients.
- Assist with all group events/initiatives, sales department hospitality and guests during games.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Extremely organized, detail oriented, accountable, reliable and self-sufficient.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse client base.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work during normal business hours, games, hospitality events, weekends, and occasional holidays during the baseball season.
- Fluently bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Enrolled full time in an accredited university or college
- Can meet the program time commitments: January 16th through October 31st
- During the Spring/Fall Semesters: work not to exceed 30 hours per week
- During Summer Break: 40 hours per week
- Attend a Monthly Lunch & Learn with department leaders
- Participate in a Volunteer Day with the Miami Marlins Foundation
