School to Work Coordinator

 
General Description:  It will be the responsibility of the School to Work Coordinator to coordinate employment placement opportunities for students.  Once students are employed, the coordinator will document, evaluate, and supervise students’ experience to ensure compliance with ODEW’s work-based learning requirements. This role involves building relationships with local employers, providing career counseling, and organizing job fairs and other career-related events as directed by the Director of Instruction. The coordinator will perform in such a manner to ensure the best education possible for the students of MVCTC.
 
Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
2. Must hold or qualify for a valid Ohio Career Technical Workforce Development license.
3. Previous career technical teaching experience strongly preferred.
4. Previous work experience in healthcare, IT and/or business strongly preferred.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including strong relationships with area employers.
6. Documented evidence of workforce trend data analysis.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of team.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
9. Must obtain and continue to hold Ohio School Van Driver certification and must display flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
10. Experience working with diverse populations.
11. Knowledge of industry trends and emerging careers.

 
Length of Contract:               185 days plus applicable extended service days
 
Starting Date:                         2025-26 school year
 
Salary:                                    Per teacher salary schedule
