LOCATION: Miami Valley South 2400 MIAMI VALLEY DR, CENTERVILLE, OH 45459
- PRN: hours vary
Serves as an interdisciplinary healthcare team member in collaboration with the Registered Nurse, supported by evidenced-based practice, professional standards of care, and code of ethics. Provides care for patients across the life span in a manner sensitive to social and cultural diversity.
Education:
- B.S. in Exercise Physiology or related field required
- Experience in Cardiac Monitoring
Certification:
- Certification or experience and training equivalent to those specified for an exercise specialist by ACSM
- Current BLS Certification
Experience:
- Experience in exercise program planning, supervision and counseling of cardiovascular and pulmonary patients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- M.S. in rehabilitative exercise physiology or related field
- ACLS certification
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English with strong interpersonal skills in order to interact with patients, families, physicians and other health team members.
- Analytical skills necessary to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
- Ability to prioritize delivery of care based on patient and unit needs.
