Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical unit at our Level I Trauma Center, you will play a crucial role in providing acute care to patients with various medical conditions. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality care and ensuring positive patient outcomes.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a focus on medical-surgical conditions
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, implementing appropriate nursing interventions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform catheter care and other nursing procedures as required
- Utilize Cerner or similar electronic health record systems for documentation
- Assist in laboratory procedures and infectious disease care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and preventive care
Skills
- Proficiency in medical-surgical nursing practices
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is advantageous
- Familiarity with catheter care procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within an acute care setting
- Knowledge of infectious disease prevention and control measures

Pay: $2,396.00 - $2,535.00 per week
