Job Summary
As a Progressive Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care for patients with critical and complex medical conditions. Responsibilities
- Perform advanced nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and cardiac telemetry
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
- Proficiency in IV insertion and pain management techniques
- Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar critical care settings
- Knowledge of trauma medicine and acute pain management
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and standards of nursing practice
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
