Position: System Manager – Patient Care Coordinators/Oncology Financial Counselors
Department: MVH Infusion Center Admin MTOWN
Shift: 8AM-4:30PM
Status: Full-time/ 80 hours per pay period
Facility: Miami Valley Hospital/ Travel required to other sites
The System Manager of Patient Care Coordinators and Oncology Financial Counselors is responsible for the supervision and coordination of scheduling, registration, and patient financial assistance occurring in the Oncology service line. This position requires a detailed knowledge base in scheduling, registration, department and billing practices, as well as an understanding of the hospital’s financial and discounting policies and how these areas impact the workflow throughout the departments and organization. The Manager is responsible for monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring the accuracy of registration and scheduling data entered by associates, ensuring that proper patient experience protocols are followed, monitoring in basket pools, clearing issues in various registration and billing work queues, and managing the overall training and coordination of work of the Patient Care Coordinators and Financial Counselors across the system.
The position requires the ability to independently plan, schedule, organize and respond appropriately on a wide variety of subjects and situations. The incumbent will be expected to be knowledgeable of, and be able to perform, the duties of the staff supervised. Involvement in departmental and interdepartmental process improvement teams will be expected.

Knowledge of medical billing requirements, third party payers, coordination of benefits, scheduling practices and provider template management required
