Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and exceptional guest relations. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service in the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm and friendly welcome.
- Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or requests, demonstrating excellent guest services at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including waiting areas and menus.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for customer service and helping guests feel welcomed and valued.
- Knowledge of guest relations principles and practices within the hospitality industry is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
