Position Overview
As the Head Coach for our girls club, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive training programs and managing team dynamics across competitive girls teams, camps, clinics, and school volleyball teams.
This full-time role is ideal for a coach with a proven track record of success—candidates with at least 5 years of coaching experience are encouraged to apply. International candidates with national team or Pro-League credentials are welcome, provided they are fluent in English and can seamlessly integrate into our Miami-based program.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership:
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for the team’s development, focusing on both athletic excellence and personal growth.
- Create tailored training programs that enhance technical skills, physical conditioning, and tactical understanding for competitive teams, camps, clinics, and school volleyball teams.
- Team Management:
- Build a cohesive and motivated team environment across multiple programs.
- Oversee daily practices, team meetings, and game preparations.
- Lead in-game strategy and adjustments to optimize team performance.
- Talent Development:
- Identify and nurture individual talents within the various teams.
- Implement mentorship programs to support player development both on and off the court.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Recruitment & Scouting:
- Actively participate in scouting, recruiting, and developing promising players for competitive teams and special programs like camps and clinics.
- Work collaboratively with the organization to attract top-tier talent and maintain Miami Wave’s competitive edge.
- Program Coordination:
- Organize and manage schedules for competitive teams, camps, clinics, and school volleyball teams, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality program delivery across all initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, assistant coaches, and club administrators.
- Represent Miami Wave at competitions, events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with national and international partners to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years coaching experience at a competitive level.
- Preference for candidates with experience coaching girls/women’s volleyball.
- International candidates are encouraged to apply if they have held positions on a national team or in a professional league.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proven ability to develop strategic training programs and implement effective game strategies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage diverse teams and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
- Certifications:
- Relevant coaching certifications or professional training in volleyball coaching.
