We are seeking a versatile and reliable Field Technician to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of solar installation projects by handling site surveys, permit coordination, material management, on-site support, and technical services. Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed site surveys to assess project requirements, including measurements and system placement.
- Serve as a permit runner by submitting and retrieving necessary permits from local jurisdictions.
- Coordinate the ordering, delivery, and drop-off of materials to job sites.
- Provide on-site support during installations and project inspections.
- Assist installation crews with troubleshooting and provide hands-on technical support as needed.
- Respond to service calls, performing maintenance and repairs on solar equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and operational protocols while on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of site visits, materials used, and service activities.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, installers, and customers to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in solar energy, construction, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of solar installation processes and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including rooftops, job sites, and permit offices.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
