Job Title: La Brisa Breakfast Buffet Attendant

Job Summary:
The La Brisa Breakfast Buffet Attendant is responsible for ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and high-quality breakfast service at La Brisa. This role involves setting up and maintaining the breakfast buffet, assisting guests with buffet service, managing cashier duties, and ensuring the restaurant is clean, organized, and ready for the day. The ideal candidate will provide attentive, friendly service and maintain quality control throughout the breakfast shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Buffet Set-Up and Maintenance
- Prepare and set up buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, properly displayed, and replenished as needed.
- Check food quality on the buffet line throughout the shift, addressing any issues with freshness or appearance.
- Monitor food temperatures and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Service & Guest Interaction
- Greet guests warmly and provide assistance as needed with buffet items or general questions.
- Address guest concerns or special requests to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Check the rooming list to verify that guests are eligible for the buffet, ensuring accurate billing and eligibility.
- Cashiering
- Operate the POS system to process guest transactions accurately, including charges for non-eligible guests.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and handle payments with care and attention to detail.
- Cleaning & Organization
- Clear tables promptly, clean buffet stations, and ensure the dining area is tidy throughout the breakfast service.
- Refill beverages and condiments as needed, maintaining a clean and organized buffet area.
- Resetting and Closing
- Take down and store buffet items according to restaurant standards once breakfast service ends.
- Clean, reset, and prepare the restaurant for the next meal period, including setting tables and organizing supplies.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory control by noting low-stock items or issues with buffet equipment.
- Follow health and safety protocols, including proper handling and storage of food items.
- Perform any other duties as assigned to support the overall success of La Brisa’s breakfast service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a restaurant, buffet service, or hospitality role preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and handling preferred.
- Ability to operate POS systems and handle transactions accurately.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform cleaning tasks.
