Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License
- English required, bilingual preferred.
- Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
- Flexibility with work schedule required.
- Effective communication skills required.
- Customer service skills preferred.
- Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke
- Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 30 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks assigned
- Must be able to work with others, communicate well, receive direction, and provide feedback when needed to achieve department goals and objectives
- Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with guests in a congenial and polite manner
- Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times and to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Responsibilities
The Public Area Attendant will be Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the guest floors, hallways, ice rooms. Working with the Floor Supervisor, Room Attendants and other House person to ensure total cleanliness and organization on the guest floors.
- Adhere to the Miccosukee Service Expectations and ensure team compliance
- Report to work on time in full uniform
- Stock closets with linen as needed.
- Stock closets with supplies as instructed.
- Shampoo carpet on assigned floors using shampoo machine and extractors for quick drying. Use WAND clean upholstered furniture.
- Vacuum carpets every day as requested by your supervisor
- Help room attendants by stripping up to (8) rooms per room attendant.
- Collect the linen and garbage from the guest rooms.
- Perform 3 soiled linen drops daily
- Move guest room furniture and turn the mattress as requested by the Floor or Coordinator
- At the end of the day check linen closets and for cleanliness and organization. The Supervisor will be in charge of checking the work at the end of the day.
- Deliver guests requests extra towels, fridges etc. to the floors. Delivery must be done within 10 minutes.
- Make sure all rollaway in the closets are made up and ready to go
- Help Room Attendants with Deep Cleaning Tasks, moving furniture etc.
- Remove trash bags, soiled linen bags from the floors
- Empty trash from the floors twice per day
- Steam clean rooms as instructed by your Supervisor
- Assist Room Attendants with placing bed boards, roll-ways bed, extra bed etc.
- Any other duty as required commensurate with the position, department, and organization.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
- Performs other related duties as assigned
The Casino & Resort will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We may find it necessary to re-schedule shifts according to our business volume. You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands
While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. This is a smoking environment.
