Data Expert for Lifestyle Brands
">We are seeking a data expert to help our client, a large private equity company focused on lifestyle brands, sports apparel, or sporting gear, make data-driven decisions.
">This is a full-time, hybrid role that requires candidates to visit our North Carolina (Statesville) office at least once per week. The position includes benefits, 401k contributions, vacation time, and more.
">Key Responsibilities:

- Data Acquisition and Management: ">
- Extract, clean, and validate data from various factory systems, ERP platforms, and other data sources. ">
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure reliable and consistent data availability. ">
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data pipelines; detailing source systems and updating procedures for users and technical stakeholders. ">
- KPI Development and Dashboard Creation: ">
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs). ">
- Design and develop visually compelling dashboards in Power BI and Excel to monitor operational performance. ">
- Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and provide actionable insights for stakeholders. ">
- Data Analysis: ">
- Support decision-making by preparing detailed reports and presentations based on analytical findings. ">
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cross-functional investigation and improvement. ">
- Process Improvement: ">
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to identify inefficiencies and develop data-backed solutions. ">
- Monitor the impact of implemented changes and refine strategies as needed. ">
- Collaboration and Communication: ">
- Work closely with IT, finance, and operations teams to ensure data alignment and integrity. ">
- Presents insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner. ">
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. ">
- 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role. ">
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, Excel (Data modeling, VBA and DAX), and SQL (including SSRS). ">
- Experience working with ERP systems; familiarity with specific ERP systems used at the company is a plus. ">
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and analyze large data sets. ">
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings to non-technical audiences. ">
- Knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain operations is a strong advantage. ">
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. ">
- Experience with Python (web apps) or R (including Shiny) for advanced data analysis. ">
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices. ">
- Lean Six Sigma certification or experience in process improvement methodologies. ">
