Workers Compensation Case Manager / Legal Assistant

Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience in Worker’s Compensation Law
- Familiar with EAMS/ WCAB, DORs filing, PQME evaluation
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Excellent grammar and communication skills
Job Duties (include but not limited to)
- Process new files from Intake
- Assist handling attorney/hearing representative from the beginning of a case to settlement
- Act as first contact to applicant, insurance, and medicals on case
- Filing and Serving Workers' Compensation Documents
- Manage applicants’ treatment including obtaining medical records, scheduling medical appointments, requesting doctor panels, scheduling AME/PQMEs
- Prepare Pre-Trial Conference Statements, settlement documents, and Trial exhibits in advance of hearings and depositions as applicable.
- Keep applicants up to date on the status of their case
- Be able to handle 100 – 150 files at a time.
- Organizing case files for the team
