Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the coordination and routing of timely shipments with a focus on operational efficiencies.
- Communicate timely and effectively at all levels
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors
- Strategic route and delivery planning in Microsoft GP
- Oversee and track transportation vehicles identifying any issues
- Handle driver planning with transportation companies
- Effectively communicate all delivery issues
- Maintain all system routing information, updating as needed
- Expedites customer orders for delivery timeliness and accuracy
- Supports customer service department on multiple levels including delivery information and hot shot requests
- Labor planning and coordinating with Shipping and Inventory Control Groups and Receiving
- Must be able to multi-task frequently and effectively
Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routine, and standard accepted practices
Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:
- Preferred education minimum of a Associate’s degree
- 3 years Logistics experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone and by computer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
