Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases.
- Perform data entry and maintain organized files for all case-related documents.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Research relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents to support ongoing litigation efforts.
- Ensure compliance with immigration law and tribal law regulations as applicable to specific cases.
- Draft correspondence and reports as needed for attorneys and clients.
- Manage case calendars, deadlines, and schedules for court appearances or meetings.
- Provide administrative support by organizing files, maintaining records, and managing case-related communications.
Experience
- A background in law or legal studies is preferred, with specific experience in litigation being a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with immigration law and tribal law regulations is highly desirable.
- Strong research skills coupled with the ability to write clearly and concisely are essential for success in this role.
- Proficiency in legal administrative tasks including document management and data entry is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interviewing and communication with clients and colleagues.
