Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Opportunity Creation: Leverage existing relationships and create new ones to drive business growth. Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue within assigned accounts or territories.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with customers, providing exceptional service, problem-solving, and successful implementation of solutions. Act as the primary contact throughout the sales cycle to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for the company's products and materials, working closely with customers' technical teams to understand their needs and collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop effective solutions. Work directly with customer's technical teams to understand product requirements and facilitate solutions with the internal engineering team.
- Sales Operations & Reporting: Maintain and develop reporting systems to track sales activities, project progress, and customer interactions. Monitor sales metrics and assist in forecasting and strategic planning.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and track competitor activities to stay ahead of trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Trade Shows & Networking: Represent the company at industry events, promoting products, generating leads, and establishing new business opportunities.

The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in engineering or technical sales, with a focus on custom-molded rubber or plastic components, preferably within the aerospace or defense industries.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and growing customer accounts.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with customer needs and industry trends.
- Experience managing customer relationships, opportunities, and pipelines within a CRM system.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage long-term projects effectively.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for overnight trips as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
