They are actively seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Project Manager to join their expanding team and grow alongside the business.
Description
- Support the Project Manager in completing projects on time and within budget.
- Participate in interviews and the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for new opportunities.
- Assist the estimating team with bids for future projects.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of project details.
- Reach out to subcontractors to gauge their interest in projects.
- Collaborate with Project Management and Estimators to review final plans and estimates before submission.
- Ensure all monthly Project Manager review reports are completed accurately and on time, contributing to the profitable and timely completion of projects.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and negotiation of meeting minutes, Owner Change Orders, and Requests for Information with the project team.
- Conduct project closeout walkthroughs with Owners and Architects, gather all required closeout documents, and ensure punch list items are completed.
- Handle customer relations by conducting a 6-month project review with the Owner and an 11-month warranty walkthrough to address any outstanding concerns.
- Maintain open and consistent communication with clients, providing proactive updates on project progress and budget matters.
Profile
- 2-5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, with commercial construction experience being a plus.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- A collaborative team player with a motivated and positive attitude.
- Interest in tasks such as estimating change orders and processing pay applications, though bidding projects from scratch is not required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- A strong desire to advance your career as a Project Manager.
- OSHA certification is required.
