The client is a multinational banking and financial services corporation. This role will be ONSITE 5 days a week in NYC.
Job Description
- Manage all aspects of database planning, configuration, migration, fault handling, performance optimization, backup, and daily monitoring.
- Design and develop databases and applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Use SSIS, SSRS, and SQL to create ETL packages and reports, and develop new features for ETL data integration using SSIS, SQL, Java, and Python.
- Perform data-related tasks such as data analysis, integration, issue remediation, reconciliation, warehousing, and reporting automation.
- Write technical documentation, testing reports, and support internal / external audits while adhering to policies and internal controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server or other database applications in an enterprise environment, with 2 years of DBA experience.
- Extensive experience in large-scale database operation, maintenance management, and performing database operations such as backup, restoration, and synchronization.
- Proficient in writing advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and troubleshooting performance issues.
- Familiar with Business Intelligence tools like SSIS and SSRS, and experienced in developing test plans, scripts, and system testing, along with report development and maintenance.
