Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including ground-up and adaptive re-use builds
Manage the full bid process from concept through final proposal submission
Collaborate closely with the Head of Preconstruction on strategy, scope, and cost planning
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive and accurate estimates
Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor pricing to support bid accuracy
Assist in developing value engineering options and construction alternatives
Participate in client presentations and preconstruction meetings as needed
Maintain current knowledge of market trends, material costs, and construction methodologies
Use software tools such as Procore, P6, and BIM/VDC to streamline estimating processes
Support multiple active and upcoming projects in a fast-paced yet steady work environment
Profile
- 5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction
Strong base-level understanding of both hard bid and negotiated work
Comfortable working solo while contributing as a strategic voice within a small, supportive team
Candidates must be commutable to Lowell, MA (this is an in-office role with no hybrid option)
