Client Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team in Stamford, CT. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs, timeframes, and resources required to complete construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Description

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects in Stamford, CT.
  • Collaborate with the construction manager in Stamford, CT to assess project scope, identify potential risks, and develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring the best prices for quality materials and services.
  • Prepare detailed breakdowns of labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and verify quantities of materials and labor.
  • Work closely with the project management team to track project progress and manage any changes to the original estimates.
  • Maintain a database of historical cost data for future project references.
  • Provide clear communication to clients, vendors, and internal teams regarding cost estimates, scope changes, and project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Profile

• • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a construction estimator, ideally in Stamford, CT, or surrounding areas.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with the construction manager in Stamford, CT.
