The client is a commercial bank that started in Japan. They are the third largest bank in Japan and offer services such as investment banking, global markets, and sales and trading.
Description
- Manage and execute daily foreign exchange transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements
- Maintain and update spreadsheets to monitor and verify securities lending reports, identifying and correcting discrepancies
- Perform ad hoc analyses and generate reports as requested by management to support various operational needs
- Collaborate with the FX trading desk and operations team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
- Assist with additional projects, and tasks related to the sale of the custody business and other initiatives as directed by management
Profile
- Proficiency in Excel- advanced skills in Excel formulas and functions with some knowledge of VBA for automation and data analysis
- Anaytical Skills- ability to analyze and verify reports, identify discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments
- Transactional Banking Knowledge- familiarity with transactional banking processes, including custody, foreign exchange, securities lending settlement, and SWIFT
- Experience in Financial Operations- previous experience working with FX trading desk and operations teams to manage daily transactions and support operational needs
- Project Management- capability to handle ad hoc analyses and support various projects as directed by management, demonstrating flexibility and initiative
