Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead a complex project, developing timelines, managing resources, and ensuring task execution.
- Successfully execute complex engineering tasks related to product design and specification development.
- Develop creative solutions to create innovative medical devices.
- Use computer-assisted engineering software for tasks related to prototype design, test method development, and production aids.
- Review test data with statistical analysis and generate reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications.
- Analyze, evaluate, and recommend cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes.
- Source, evaluate, and coordinate the procurement of new materials and parts from suppliers.
- Manage technology transfer projects, including project timelines, budgets, and the design history file.
- Attend surgical cases, interact with surgeons, review clinical journals, and gather feedback on concepts or new devices to support sales staff and reinforce medical knowledge.
- Develop and execute validation protocols/reports and test methods for prototype evaluation.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- 6-10 years of related work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related Engineering field from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Strong communication and time management abilities.
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills.
- Comfort working independently.
- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks, Project Management Software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of statistical analysis and statistical software.
- Good interpersonal skills.
