Description

• Oversee daily chemical handling and packaging operations, ensuring safety and compliance.

• Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Optimize production schedules, inventory management, and workflow efficiency.

• Implement best practices in safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA).

• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, making data-driven improvements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and drive CAPEX projects.

• Identify and address bottlenecks and process inefficiencies to improve throughput.

• Conduct safety audits and training programs to maintain a compliant work environment.

Profile

• 5 years in operations management within chemical, manufacturing, or industrial settings.

• Strong background in chemical handling, hazardous material management, and packaging processes.

• Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process optimization methodologies.

• Proven ability to lead teams of 30-40 employees, driving performance and engagement.

• Familiarity with inventory management, ERP systems (e.g., D365), and production planning.

• Analytical mindset - ability to assess operations, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions.

• Excellent leadership & communication skills - ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.

• Regulatory knowledge - understanding of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and industry compliance standards.

• Proven track record of improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing safety.
