Job Description

Quality Engineer / CMM Programmer Responsibilities :

• CMM Programming & Inspection : Develop and maintain CMM programs for precision inspection.
• Blueprint Analysis : Establish accurate inspection criteria from engineering drawings.
• Quality Assurance : Conduct dimensional inspections, FAIR reporting, gauge studies, and GR&R analysis.
• Calibration & Maintenance : Ensure proper calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of QC equipment.
• APQP & Process Improvement : Support fixture design, PPAP submissions, and cycle time reduction.
• Training & Development : Mentor staff in CMM programming and measurement techniques.

The Successful Applicant

Successful Quality Engineer :

• B.S. Degree
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in CMM Programming roles
• Proficiency in CMM programming softwares
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, including GD&T
• Experience in quality control procedures, including gauge studies and GR&R
• Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and other inspection tools
• Ability to assist in problem-solving, data analysis, and implementing corrective actions
• Capable of performing preventive maintenance on CMMs and ensuring calibration of gauges
• Experience in training and developing less experienced staff in CMM programming and measurement skills
• Highly precise and detail-oriented in measurements and documentation management
