Our client is a global manufacturer with a significant domestic presence, seeking to add a Quality Manager to their facility in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. This facility specializes in metal manufacturing and plastic injection molding to produce a widely recognized product found in major retail stores.

Description

• Maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) that aligns with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Lead and manage the quality assurance team, ensuring the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
• Monitor all stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address any quality issues or non-conformances.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Establish and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection reports, audits, and test results.
• Develop and conduct internal and external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
• Provide training and guidance to employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Work closely with suppliers and customers to resolve any quality concerns and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Track and report key quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for continuous improvement.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance in all aspects of the quality process.

Profile

• Strong Manufacturing experience in a managerial capacity (10 years)
• 10 years in a Quality related position
• Bachelors Degree
• Lead Auditing Experience (ISO 9001)
• Strong SPC experience
• Strong leadership skills
• Effective in communication style

Job Offer

• Base Salary up to $145,000
• 10% Bonus
