Job Description
- Lead the on-site management for a diverse range of activation events focusing on retail visits, but also regional events (marathons, brand sponsored events, festivals, etc) and local community initiatives (in and around the CT area).
- Retail visits will require the following : training staff the brand story on recovery, sustainability and community, explaining product attributes, detailing our marketing / brand awareness efforts, letting staff try on shoes, setting up retail displays / placing marketing materials and presenting current and future product lines.
- Event activations will be focused on event setup (tent, backdrop, tables, shoes on display, etc), in person education of product, and for select events selling of product.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of the retail and event activation calendar working with key stakeholders on the sales and marketing teams.
- Manage activation budget and track expenses.
- Post event evaluation and reporting including retail visit recaps and event summaries documenting key learnings and best practices for future event activations.
- Frequent travel is required (up to 50% of the role, with 2-3 weeks on road at a time). Weekend work required based on event schedule.
- 2 Years of event related experience in a fast-paced business environment
- Experience in the footwear industry a plus
- Willing and able to drive a Sprinter Van (position will require 2-3 week periods on the road continuously)
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Team player willing to work in fast-paced startup environment
- Willingness to travel within the territory (50-60%)
