We are partnered up with a growing Manufacturing company located North of Baltimore in their search to add an EHS Lead to the site. This position will report up into the an Operations Director and will manage a team of 5 employees. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience within a Manufacturing setting, 7 years of managerial experience, and the ability to be a hands on manager. Description

The Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

• Lead and manage EHS programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other relevant regulations.
• Develop and implement safety procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous chemicals.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
• Drive a culture of safety through training, awareness programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe manufacturing practices and continuous improvement.
• Maintain and update EHS documentation, permits, and regulatory reports.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
• Lead emergency response planning, including spill control and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Monitor environmental compliance, including air quality, water treatment, and waste management.

Profile

The ideal Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• 10 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, with expertise in handling hazardous chemicals.
• 7 years of Managerial experience and the ability to lead a team of strong EHS Professionals
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.
• Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) are highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
• Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Proficiency in EHS software and reporting tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.

Job Offer

The successful Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:

• Base Salary of $120,000-$170,000 depending experience
