Senior Estimator - DFW Large Commercial Construction

We are looking for an experienced Construction Senior Estimator with a highlighted focus on large commercial (light industrial) projects to join their team in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in estimating ground-up projects.

Description

• The Senior Estimator works to prepare estimates and proposals for conceptual projects
• Complete assigned project estimates on established deadlines and priorities.
• Prepare clear and effective proposals for review by the Lead Estimator for assigned projects according to standard processes.
• Assist in performing value engineering of new or alternate materials, means and methods of construction.
• Assist in soliciting or qualifying and qualify proposals from suppliers and/or subcontractors; participate in the procurement process, as directed
• Provide estimating assistance with Change Orders, as required.

Profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience with a general contractor
• Bachelor's degree in construction field required
• Experience leading and assisting on large commercial and light industrial construction projects
• Positive attitude & able to effectively communicate
• Success driven
• Exemplifies good leadership qualities and characteristics
• Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, materials, and local subcontractors
• Previous mentorship experience is a strong plus
