Description
In this role, the Senior Lean Engineer will:
- Adherence to Standards: Comply with company values, code of conduct, safety regulations, and quality system requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead the development and implementation of systems and tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement, including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, and Lean principles.
- Process Optimization: Drive standardization, workplace organization, and process optimization through techniques like 5S, standard work, and total productive maintenance.
- Problem-Solving and Innovation: Identify and resolve issues, implement innovative solutions, and coach others on Lean methodologies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, share knowledge, and actively participate in strategic planning.
Profile
A Successful Senior Lean Engineer will have:Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 6 years of progressive engineering experience
- Proven project leadership and Kaizen facilitation skills, including Value Stream Mapping
- Experience in aerospace or similar manufacturing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and respond to customer needs
- Positive attitude
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience
- Advanced business acumen
