Description
- Oversee the estimation process for interior federal government construction projects.
- Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to develop precise cost estimates and proposals.
- Examine project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements and scope.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and team members.
- Review and assess subcontractor bids and proposals.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings and assist with project planning and scheduling.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to federal government construction.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in federal construction, with a strong focus on interior projects.
- Demonstrated success in estimating and managing federal government contracts.
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members.
- In-depth knowledge of federal procurement processes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficient in relevant estimating software and tools.
