Description
- Direct, coordinate, and contribute to project activities to ensure goals are met within deadlines and budget constraints.
- Assess product designs for adherence to engineering principles, company standards, contract requirements, and specifications.
- Travel occasionally as needed, with preconstruction experience being essential.
- Review project specifications to develop construction plans, including timelines and staffing needs for each phase.
- Prepare and approve detailed and accurate job forecasts.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with project specifications.
- Evaluate proposals and contracts for consistency with client and designer expectations, as well as company policies.
- Cultivate strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Oversee project profitability, start-up activities, budget management, and schedule updates to ensure timely execution.
- Manage owner billings, coordinate with accounting teams, and provide accurate monthly cash flow reports
Profile
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture is mandatory.
- Proficiency in computer software, including Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project, is essential.
- Experience with wood-frame ground-up multifamily construction projects is required.
- Familiarity with garden-style construction is a must.
- Expertise in pre-construction tasks such as planning, design reviews, constructability assessments, value engineering, scheduling, and conceptual estimating is necessary.
- Must be comfortable in a client-facing role.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities are crucial.
