Description
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for a portfolio of properties, including garages, shopping centers, office buildings, and retail spaces
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with property management teams to optimize financial performance
- Develop and implement efficient accounting processes and procedures
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities for properties
- Perform variance analysis and provide financial reports to stakeholders
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close
- Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations

Profile
A successful Senior Property Accountant should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP
- Broad real estate knowledge of shopping centers, retail and other asset types.
- Yardi system knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office and property management software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Willingness to work onsite in midtown Manhattan 5 days/week
Job Offer
