Description
The Senior Superintendent Responsibilies:
- Oversee all field operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead and manage on-site construction teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
- Coordinate subcontractor and supplier activities to maintain project schedules and workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field operations, working closely with the project management team.
- Conduct regular site inspections, addressing any issues that arise and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports.
- Participate in project meetings, providing insights on schedule, logistics, and construction challenges.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Profile
The ideal Senior Superintendent Candidate:
- 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in large-scale projects ($50M preferred).
- Proven experience managing public/academic/K-12 construction projects (preferred)
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams.
- Proficiency with construction management software, including Procore, P6, and BIM/VDC.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A track record of successfully delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
