Description
Manage customer complaints and corrective action requests, including product verification, issuing work orders for evaluation/repair, gathering failure details, updating databases, conducting root cause analysis, and generating failure reports.
Perform final inspections on OEM products and prepare detailed inspection reports.
Conduct final inspections for first article prototype builds.
Take on the Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) role during New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
Coordinate and lead qualification activities for first article purchases (FAI).
Conduct instrumented testing on products and maintain an up-to-date measurements library.
Assist in the creation and updating of manufacturing work instructions.
Aid in identifying and documenting internal nonconformities.
Provide support for in-process inspections in metal fabrication areas, such as machining, forming, and welding operations, as needed.
Contribute to the success of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) by fostering a continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization.
Conduct internal ISO 9001 audits and support external audit activities.
Work with Manufacturing Engineering to identify and implement process improvements.
Monitor the performance of the QMS, using data to inform decisions and proactively address emerging trends affecting system performance.
Track and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Collaborate with Materials Management and suppliers to resolve vendor quality concerns.
Support compliance with product material regulations, including REACH, ROHS, WEEE, Conflict Minerals, and other applicable standards.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-related field.
Experience working in an ISO 9000-certified manufacturing environment.
Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of fabricated sheet metal design and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
Familiarity with electromechanical assembly and testing procedures.
Skilled in using mechanical measurement tools and interpreting technical drawings for complex inspections.
Experience with electronic test equipment.
Ability to present data and information in a clear, structured, and organized manner.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation abilities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Maintains a professional and positive demeanor that represents the company well.
