Strategic Sourcing Manager - Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Strategic Sourcing Manager to oversee and manage every stage of the procurement and supply chain process for an industrial/manufacturing organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operations and efficiency of supply chain activities, resulting in cost-effective procurement and timely delivery of products.

Description

• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and enhance supplier performance.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with procurement standards.
• Cost Analysis and Management: Conduct cost analyses to identify savings opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives to improve profit margins.
• Market Research: Stay informed about market trends and supply chain dynamics; utilize this information to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and finance teams to ensure procurement strategies align with company goals and production needs.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure that necessary materials are available while minimizing excess stock and associated carrying costs.
• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities to drive continuous improvement.

Profile

A successful Strategic Sourcing Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of contract management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Job Offer

• An estimated salary range of $110,000 - $130,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
