Our client, a prominent General Contractor with a strong presence in the Baltimore area, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to oversee their multifamily construction projects. Known for their commitment to quality, safety, and innovation, this company takes pride in delivering exceptional residential communities that meet the highest standards.

Description

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and construction crews, ensuring efficient and productive work on site.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
  • Lead daily and weekly on-site meetings with the project team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to review progress, address challenges, and plan upcoming activities.
  • Resolve any issues that arise on the job site, including conflicts between subcontractors, unexpected site conditions, or changes in project scope.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and logs.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the project.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and budgets.

Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a strong focus on multifamily projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials specific to multifamily construction.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects from start to finish, with a demonstrated history of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse group of workers and subcontractors.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and tools, including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
