Description

The key responsibilities as a Supplier Quality Engineer

  • Supplier Quality Assurance: Overseeing and assuring supplier quality to achieve best-in-class performance, including leading resolution and root cause analysis for quality issues.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Creating and maintaining key relationships with supplier and internal teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Driving improvement initiatives at suppliers to address escapes, reduce costs, and shorten lead times.
  • Supplier Audits: Performing qualification audits of new and existing suppliers and managing third-party auditors.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Managing RCCA for underperforming suppliers and implementing reduced incoming inspection for high performers.
  • Incoming Inspection Management: Collaborating on and establishing incoming inspection control plans.
  • New Supplier Qualification: Reviewing and approving first articles and certification packages.
  • Internal Quality Involvement: Participating early in new product development to ensure supplier capabilities meet standards.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Continuous improvement/lean experience (CORE/Six Sigma a plus).
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and proficiency in quality tools (FAI, PFMEA, etc.).
  • 7-10 years of manufacturing/quality engineering experience, supplier quality preferred.
  • Experience with SEMI standards and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple issues and meet commitments.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements for the Quality Engineer:
- B.S. in Engineering or relevant field
- 5-10 years of experience in supplier quality within manufacturing
- Experience working with ISO9001
