Description
The key responsibilities as a Supplier Quality Engineer
- Supplier Quality Assurance: Overseeing and assuring supplier quality to achieve best-in-class performance, including leading resolution and root cause analysis for quality issues.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Creating and maintaining key relationships with supplier and internal teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Driving improvement initiatives at suppliers to address escapes, reduce costs, and shorten lead times.
- Supplier Audits: Performing qualification audits of new and existing suppliers and managing third-party auditors.
- Supplier Performance Management: Managing RCCA for underperforming suppliers and implementing reduced incoming inspection for high performers.
- Incoming Inspection Management: Collaborating on and establishing incoming inspection control plans.
- New Supplier Qualification: Reviewing and approving first articles and certification packages.
- Internal Quality Involvement: Participating early in new product development to ensure supplier capabilities meet standards.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Continuous improvement/lean experience (CORE/Six Sigma a plus).
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and proficiency in quality tools (FAI, PFMEA, etc.).
- 7-10 years of manufacturing/quality engineering experience, supplier quality preferred.
- Experience with SEMI standards and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple issues and meet commitments.
- Results-driven, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.

Requirements for the Quality Engineer:
- B.S. in Engineering or relevant field
- 5-10 years of experience in supplier quality within manufacturing
- Experience working with ISO9001
