Job Description
- Provide real-time technical support to traders and departments, troubleshooting and resolving issues to minimize trading disruptions, while managing support tickets to closure.
- Lead and mentor the Infrastructure and Application Support team in New York, coordinating with IT teams and external partners for seamless support and integration.
- Monitor system performance, ensure timely updates and patches, and manage system backups and disaster recovery plans.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the trading floor, supporting departments, and IT, escalating issues as necessary.
- Communicate with traders and the business to understand their needs, provide solutions, and prepare reports on system performance and support activities.
- 7 years of experience providing IT support in a trading floor environment.
- Experience with people management.
- Proficient in trading systems, financial applications, and Microsoft server technologies (e.g., Active Directory, Exchange, SQL).
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft 365 / Azure, VMware virtualization, SCCM, Citrix, and data backup technologies, with an understanding of ITIL processes.
